AACE Award Recipients in 2005!

MECD Editor's Research Award

  • Bryan Kim and his colleagues received the MECD Editor's Research Award for their exemplary work in multicultural research.  Here MECD Editor Patti Elmore presents the award to Dr. Kim.

Donald Hood Student Research Grant

  • For 2005, Tamba-Kuii Bailey of Georgia State University was the Hood Research Grant Award Winner for his work with the development of the Internalized Racial Oppression Scale.  Dr. Catharina Chang, AACE Awards Chair, presents the award to Mr. Bailey.


AACE Bestows 2 Awards Annually to Multiple Nominees:

1. Exemplary Practices Award

By annually giving this award to a person or program, AACE seeks to acknowledge the rendering of important service in assessment or examples of outstanding assessment practice which have significance for the counseling profession.

To nominate yourself or a colleague, use the EPA Award Procedures.

2. Donald Hood Student Research Grant

This grant is designed to recognize and honor those students who are seeking to complete research investigations that show promise for outstanding contributions to the counseling profession. Applicants must be members of both ACA and AACE.
