EXEMPLARY PRACTICES AWARD
NOMINATION PROCEDURES
- Read the award
description, which follows.
The Association for Assessment in Counseling, through its Exemplary
Practices Award, recognizes persons and programs which best exemplify
the mission of AACE. By annually giving this award to a person or program
AACE seeks to acknowledge the rendering of important service in assessment
or examples of outstanding assessment practice which have significance
for the counseling profession.
- Fill out the nomination
form with your name, the name of your nominee, and the other requested
information.
- Provide a narrative
description of the program or services by an individual which describes
how this work has contributed to the development of techniques and practices
that have strengthened, expanded, enhanced, improved, and/or otherwise
had demonstrable benefits in promoting the effective practice of assessment
in the professional practice of counseling. This narrative should not
exceed 2 typed pages.
- Provide two (2)
letters from sponsors, which provide evidence of support for the nomination.
A sponsor letter should not exceed 2 typed pages.
- Make six (6) copies
of the nomination packet. Staple as separate packets.
- Send all six copies,
postmarked no later than February 1, 2005, to Dr. Catherine Y. Chang,
P.O. 3980, Atlanta, GA 30302-3980. Nomination packets received after the
deadline will be returned.
SELECTION
PROCEDURES
- The AACE Exemplary
Practices Awards Committee will review the nominations and select a
winner.
- The recipient
of the award will receive an engraved plaque from AACE at the annual
breakfast/luncheon held during the 2005 ACA Annual Conference. The award
winner will also receive a free ticket to the breakfast/luncheon.
